What is ANJEE
The Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education (ANJEE) is a professional organization, established in 1985, that provides a networking forum for New Jersey's environmental educators.
ANJEE is an organization of dedicated individuals who devote time, energy, and resources to facilitate the advancement of environmental education in our local, state, and global communities. It is an organization whose purpose is to provide a structure for its members which facilitates the improvement of environmental education efforts. Established by and administered primarily by volunteers, ANJEE facilitates communication, cooperation, collaboration, and coordination among the varied environmental education programs in the state and is proud to serve as the New Jersey affiliate of the North America Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE). The NAAEE Affiliate Network promotes collaboration for maximum effectiveness and efficiency and a unified voice for Environmental Education across North America and beyond. ANJEE adopted the National Guidelines for Excellence in Environmental Education, established by NAAEE to guide the development of balanced, scientifically accurate, and comprehensive environmental education programs. ANJEE continues to grow thanks to its variety of members from across New Jersey including teachers, students, nonformal educators, public agency employees, businesses, retirees, and many more.
