Volunteer opportunities

Looking for ways to join the environmental educational field? Volunteers are the driving force behind ANJEE's work to create an environmentally literate New Jersey, and the success of the organization is largely due to their ongoing efforts.

By working together ANJEE maximizes its efforts in building and sustaining a relationship with our members, community, and New Jersey as a whole. There are a number of ways to get involved and help advance EE in New Jersey. By volunteering, you’ll not only strengthen our organization, but also promote community involvement.​

ANJEE Volunteers contribute their skills, talent and dedication in all aspects of our work from planning, administration, teaching, events, publicity and more. Volunteers can also serve on one of ANJEE's committees and have the potential to be part of the ANJEE Board.

    Have opportunities to practice and put special skills to work. Whether its public relations, communications or facilitation, as a volunteer you will have numerous opportunities to practice and refine those skills, assist others in enhancing skills and learn from those you work with.

    Meet others who share interests and work in related fields. Build connections and relationships with a multitude of professional environmental educators and aid in developing a multitude of skills to prepare you for any career.
  • Opportunities to Become Better Informed
    Be more involved in the day to day operations of ANJEE and be better informed about issues and events that effect environmental education.

Time Commitments
Time commitments vary depending upon level of interest and availability. Volunteers typically assist with special events, such as our Conferences, and over the course of the year those tasks can take a few hours or a few months. ANJEE Board members can assist with matching volunteers with commitments depending on your availability.

The Alliance for NJ Environmental Educators (ANJEE) needs your energy, enthusiasm, intellect, and ideas to help us chart the future of our alliance. No need to already be a member of ANJEE to attend this event!

​Working Committees
​ANJEE has both established and ongoing standing committees that work on projects on an as needed basis. Join one of ANJEE's many committees to help plan events, or use your skills to help promote ANJEE's activities, or work with leaders and decision makers to advance EE in New Jersey. ​
ANJEE Board
Are you interested in helping to guide the future of ANJEE and working towards advancing environmental education in New Jersey? Consider applying to serve on ANJEE's Board of Directors. ANJEE is seeking individuals who are excited about the work that we are doing and want to help ANJEE by serving on a personal level. Self-nominations encouraged. Submit your completed nomination via the link below. Nominations will be reviewed and selected by the Board of Directors in February. Nominees will be notified in March. Board Terms begin July 1st.
