The Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education (ANJEE) seeks presenters for its 39th Annual Winter Environmental Education Conference. 

​You are invited to submit proposals for workshops related to the theme:
Together We Thrive!
As a proud Affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education, ANJEE presents its 39th Annual Winter Research Symposium and Conference, focusing on the powerful role of collaboration and networks in moving the field of environmental education forward. 

New to the winter conference is the Research Symposium. This curated event will take place on Thursday, January 11 and include a poster session for those whose research reflects the conference theme and threads. Posters for research in any stage of progress are welcome.

The Annual Conference will take place on Friday, January 12. ANJEE is seeking workshops for formal, non-formal and higher education teachers, with topics ranging from Pre-K through adulthood. Sessions will be scheduled in one-hour blocks. If your workshop is more than one hour long please request 2 blocks.  24 - 32 workshop proposals will be accepted.

The College of New Jersey is also allowing us to use the campus for outdoor field experience workshops. As in past years, we will have space for 4 outdoor field experience workshops which will follow the same format as classroom presentations. Field Experiences can fall under any of the four conference threads.

Green Matters, Inc. Climate Change topic ideas:
  • Microplastics
  • Teaching Natural Resiliency
  • Environmental Justice
  • Topics in Dealing with Climate Grief and Anxiety
Linking Research and Practice to Increase Impact topic ideas:
  • Connecting Research and Practice
  • Strategies for Evaluating Environmental Education (EE) Programs
  • Using Results to Influence Decision Making
  • Teaching EE in a Culturally Relevant Context
Field Studies - Topics and Best Practices topic ideas (classroom or outdoors): 
  • Measuring carbon sequestration potential in trees
  • Biodiversity index calculations
  • Community science projects to collect crowd-sourced data
  • Creative methods for incorporating technology into outdoor education 

Please note:
ANJEE conference participants typically include classroom teachers, park interpreters, environmental education specialists, non-profit administrators, youth leaders, environmental advocates and others who believe that education and environmental literacy are keys to a thriving world.
If you would like to present a poster or workshop, please complete the proposal below and submit. If you know of anyone else who would be a valuable presenter, please feel free to share this form.

All Presenters, including co-presenters and panelists must register for the conference. Primary Presenters will pay a reduced fee to attend the conference and present. All presenters must pay to attend the conference. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate "drop in" presenters at this time.
