That announcement reinforced the efforts of formal and nonformal educators in NJ having always been ahead of the curve, as climate and environmental education history runs deep in The Garden State. Join us to hear about the climate data, resources, and opportunities that are available to students and educators at the NJ School of Conservation, as well as updates on the statewide climate standards.

ANJEE co-President Mike Chodroff, will moderate a conversation with several environmental youth organizations involved with education, activism, and policy and discuss new opportunities for students to get involved with ANJEE's youth engagement initiatives.

Tower gardens by juice plus

Tower Gardens are vertical aeroponic gardens which provide an easy way to grow your own food year round. They are wonderful for the environment as they decrease our carbon footprint. They can serve as a great educational resource for children and can also promote STEM learning concepts.
Presenter: Jennifer Sestok
Jennifer Sestok has a degree in Exercise Science and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. After learning firsthand that plants protect and heal, she partnered with TOWER GARDENS by Juice Plus + to help educate and offer communities a clean and safe way to source their own food.

Doodle, draw & discover winter/spring trees

This virtual workshop will give instruction on doodling trees and leave participants with the knowledge and skills to continue a drawing practice on their own - a perfect way to connect with nature throughout the seasons. No drawing experience necessary, really! If you can write, then you can draw a tree - and teach others to do so as well!
Presenter: Vicky Katzman
Vicky Katzman earned her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and works as a freelance illustrator from her studio in Glen Rock, NJ. She teaches Nature Journaling and Art&Nature workshops at the Thielke Arboretum, and to clubs and groups throughout NJ. At the New York Botanical Garden, Vicky is studying Botanical Art. In addition, she is currently working towards certification as a Rutgers Environmental Steward. Her project aims to create awareness about the importance of Native Plants.
